This Privacy Policy explains how Applantics Private Limited (“Applantics,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects personal data when you interact with our website, ecommerce experiences, client portals, newsletters, and live events. It reflects the AI, software development, marketing, UI/UX, and product services showcased on this site. Effective as of 14 November 2024.

Applantics is a Sri Lankan-based digital solutions studio delivering AI, custom software, ecommerce, and marketing services for clients worldwide. We act as the data controller when we decide why and how personal data is processed.

We only collect what is necessary to deliver our services and improve the experience across this site:

  • Contact details: names, job titles, company names, phone numbers, and email addresses submitted through project briefs, proposals, career forms, or live chat.
  • Account & portal data: login credentials, saved preferences, and profile details for demo, partner, or alumni portals.
  • Transaction & fulfillment data: billing addresses, shipping details, tax IDs, and limited payment confirmations for ecommerce purchases, event tickets, or service retainers.
  • Marketing insights: newsletter opt-ins, survey responses, testimonials, and campaign attribution data.
  • Usage & device data: IP address, browser type, referring URLs, session recordings, and cookie identifiers collected via analytics tools to diagnose performance issues and keep the site secure.

  • Payment partners: PCI-compliant processors (e.g., Stripe, PayPal) that handle card data directly; Applantics never stores full payment card numbers.

  • Regulators or law enforcement: when compelled to comply with applicable laws.

6. International Transfers

Our teams collaborate across Sri Lanka, the EU, and North America. When data leaves your region, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses, intra-group agreements, and zero-trust access controls to ensure equivalent protection.

7. Data Retention & Security

We retain personal data only as long as needed for the purposes outlined above or as required by law, then securely delete or anonymize it. Safeguards include encrypted databases, role-based access, MFA-protected admin panels, periodic penetration testing, and vetted vendor contracts. No method is 100% secure, so please notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

8. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, update, restrict, delete, or port your personal data, as well as opt out of marketing communications. California residents can request disclosure of categories of data collected and shared, while EU/UK residents may object to processing based on legitimate interests or ask us to cease automated decision-making.

Our services target business professionals. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of 16. If you believe a child has provided data to us, contact us and we will remove it.

We update this notice to reflect new services, regulations, or security practices. Material changes will be announced via banners, dashboard notifications, or email. Continued use of the site after an update indicates acceptance of the revised terms.
